The position involves 45% research, 45% teaching, and 10% service. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and securing extramural research funding to establish a nationally competitive, independent research program that advances understanding in environmental microbiology. The faculty member will also participate in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and contribute service to the department, college, university, and scientific community.
