Meat Eater, Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated and detail oriented person to assist Meat Eater’s production team in all aspects of Production as an Associate Producer in Bozeman, Montana. As an Associate Producer for the Meat Eater brand, you will help with pre-production, production and post production for the Meat Eater shows and its network of thought-leading outdoor influencers. You must have experience in production, have excellent communication skills, unwavering attention to detail, and an inherent ability to effectively prioritize.

Core

responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Production research
  • Handling shoot logistics and scheduling
  • Crew and equipment outreach and coordination
  • On set coordination/assistant direction and PA management
  • On set script-supervising and story/continuity oversight
  • Organizing and keeping track of releases, permits and shoot documents
  • Information gathering and collaboration with key company stakeholders
  • Creating outlines and starting treatment for Producers
  • Budget tracking and cost control experience
  • Payroll for Contract Crew Members
  • Ability to balance creative vision with production realities
Requirements
  • 3+ years of Production experience in Film/TV/Commercial Production
  • Ability to assist in assembling and leading a team alongside producers
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Negotiation and cold-calling skills
  • Team player with positive, proactive, problem solving attitude
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task and follow up in an ever changing, fast paced environment
  • Ability to balance creative vision with production realities
  • Experience managing multi-day, remote, or backcountry productions
  • Working knowledge of camera systems and field audio
  • Understanding of drone regulations and coordination
  • Familiarity with file management and media workflows
Preferred qualifications:
  • Interest in hunting, fishing, cooking, and conservation
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of tasks
