Toddler Assistant Teacher - Montessori Program

A Little Journey Montessori School is looking for a toddler room assistant teacher.

This is an amazing opportunity for those interested in a career in Montessori and/or early childhood teaching and education. We are looking to hire a qualified teacher for this licensed childcare facility.

We are looking for a part-time (or full-time) wonderful, loving, caring toddler assistant teacher with Montessori experience preferred but not required.

• We are a year round program that is open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, shifts would vary between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm.

Job Description:

• Aid lead teachers with classroom management.
• Change diapers as needed.
• Supervise young children inside and outside.
• Cleaning up after children and light chores throughout the day.
• Assisting children with their individual needs.
• Aiding lead teachers with tasks throughout the day.
• Communicating with other teachers and parents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A passion for working with young children.
• Experience working with children under 3 preferred.
• Great at working as a team and with others.
• A friendly nature, patience, and love for children.
• Good organization and communication skills.
• Experience caring for young children.
• Montessori experience preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Hands-on infant, Child, and Adult CPR/First Aid certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass criminal a background check for state licensing requirements.
• Verification of Immunizations (MMR and tDap).
• Training courses for state licensing requirements within 30 and 90 days of hire.

SALARY:

• Pay is DOE starting at $18.00/hour.
