Our franchise organization, V and M Food Enterprises, LLC dba Golden Corral, is currently seeking energetic, friendly individuals to join our team!

The Cook is responsible for ensuring the quality, quantity, tastiness, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products. The Cook focuses on speed, cleanliness, organization, and adherence to product specifications.

Food Production:

• Prepares Hot Choice Buffet products, including Carving and Display Cooking items, following Golden Corral recipes and procedures.
• Grills all items according to Golden Corral standards to ensure quality.
• Ensures fried products are always fresh and hot.
• If the Buffet Attendant is unavailable, restocks items at the Display Cooking Station.
• If the Carver is unavailable, assists guests with carved meat options.
• Follows the buffet production system to maintain quality and shelf life compliance.

Operational Excellence:

• Maintains correct temperatures of all products during cooking, holding, and serving.
• Uses the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide for inventory management.
• Performs opening and closing administrative procedures.
• Maintains equipment according to the Equipment Maintenance manual.
• Restocks and rotates food using FIFO method.
• Checks inventory and build-to levels with the Manager at shift start and end.
• Ensures cleanliness of the Hot Cook area and smallwares.
• Completes duty rosters and ensures standards are met.
• Follows local health department laws.
• Keeps Char Grill clean and sanitized.

Guest Service:

• Ensures Hot Choice Buffet products are always hot and fresh for guests.
• Follows responsibilities related to just-in-time delivery.
• Provides friendly and courteous service to guests.
• Maintains professional communication at all times.
