• Identify and report food and supplies needed for the next week’s menus.
• Assist in receiving, rotating, and storing products.
• Prepare menus and cook food in accordance with nutritional guidelines, regulations, and residents’ prescribed diets and food preferences.
• Assist residents' independence with eating by providing adaptive equipment when needed.
• Prepare food and coordinate food services for special community events when requested.
• Notify Director of Food and Beverage or any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or appliances.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food in accordance with infection control standards.
• Work in a safe and alert manner, taking ownership for associates’ safety and that of residents.
• Disclose any medication that might impair performance of the job safely or competently.
• Lead by example, exhibiting CORE Values through servant leadership.
• Encourage teamwork and promote company philosophy.
• Attend required community meetings and participate in life enrichment activities when able.
• Complete all required courses in adherence with HRA University.
• Be prompt and able to perform the required duties on a regular, predictable basis.

• Understand steps for fire evacuation.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all community residents.
