The Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse – Pool DPC RN is a licensed professional able to demonstrate proficiency and mastery of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. The RN delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizes and promotes evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety and service.

Estimated pay range: $45.00 per hour, depending on shift.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Required certifications:
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
• Minimum 18 months of experience.
• Required to complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
• Required to work a minimum shift and fulfill weekend and holiday requirements as outlined in nursing staffing policy.
• May be required to hold additional certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, ONS-Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card).

• RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role as an RN.
• RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree have five years from hire date to complete the BSN.
