R-Hematology Oncology Associates was established in Palm Beach County over 35 years ago, and has grown to include 10 Board Certified Hematologist and Oncologists and 6 Nurse Practitioners in 3 convenient locations within our community. Our goals are to provide state of the art cancer treatments with a high level of compassionate care in a warm inviting environment. We also specialize in treatment of coagulation blood disorders, leukemias and other hematologic benign conditions.

* Job Description:

*** Answer phones and have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner
* Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with the medical staff regarding laboratory procedures and results
* Organize, order, and follow up with send-out labs and in return sort, review, record and file all send-out labs
* Separates and gives the Doctor's a copy of reference lab results.
* Match up reference labs list to the daily log
* Order tests and make labels for patients’ blood test.
* Operate standard laboratory equipment
* Demonstrates efficiency by performing procedures rapidly and determining priority
* Sort, record and file all bone marrow reports, and slides.
* Fax labs to other doctors per request of patient
* Maintain good organizational skills
* Respects and maintains the confidentiality of information relative to practice and patients
* Assists in special projects as needed.
* Adheres to all policies and procedures.
* Clean and restock laboratory facility
* Performs other related duties as requested
* Experience with patient billing and insurance
* Willing to effectively participate as a team member with the clinic staff.
* Enthusiastically performs miscellaneous duties with completion in a designated time frame
* Travels to satellite locations and floats to other clinics if needed
