The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Duties include filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to patient care areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing calls to the appropriate staff. The technician maintains medication stock levels, ensures proper storage of medications, and uses computer skills and information systems to complete assigned tasks.

$17.79 - $24.53 / hour depending on experience.

• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training or Experience.

• Registered Pharmacy Technician.

• One year of pharmacy hospital technician experience (or equivalent) or graduate of the BHSF Pharmacy Technician Program.
• PTCB or ExCPT Certification preferred and required within the year for sterile compounding.
