Permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW 1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT 1), PN 

The selected candidate will be placed in the classification in which they meet minimum qualifications.

• You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer.
• You will attend training to obtain a CDL license if not already a licensed CDL holder.
• You will perform highway maintenance activities, including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing.
• You will perform snow & ice operations.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary. Must obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement without air‑brake restriction.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. training or 3 mos. experience in operation of basic equipment. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without air‑brake restriction.

This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA Standards.

All bargaining unit new hires must serve a one‑year probationary period.
