A day in this roleYou arrive on site and dive into the heartbeat of our operations: the electrical infrastructure that keeps production moving. In one moment, you’re validating a new test method for a power distribution upgrade; in the next, you’re guiding the maintenance team through a preventive maintenance plan and coordinating a vendor on an automation controls retrofit. Throughout the day, you document findings, drive risk assessments, and flag any Environment, Health, Safety, or Quality concerns the instant they surface.
Whatyou’ll own
- Evaluate building and plant electrical systems, components, controls, and automation through structured research and test programs.
- Design and implement testing methodologies to confirm capabilities and analyze system properties and performance.
- Lead and coach the Facility Maintenance Team to keep preventive maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvements current and effective.
- Partner with vendors, contractors, engineers, and utility providers to specify, quote, procure, and manage electrical and automation systems.
- Create and maintain data sets, reports, and technical documentation for facility equipment and automation controls.
- Assist with development of capital and operating (expense) budgets and support execution against plan.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, customer, quality, and safety requirements, including applicable standards.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on facility modifications, upgrades, and reliability improvements.
- Serve as team lead for construction initiatives and day‑to‑day facility activities.
- Perform risk assessments and manage multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail.
- Communicate promptly any issues that may impact Environment, Health, Safety, or Quality (EHSQ).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Deep understanding of power systems, automation/control systems, and materials.
- Background in facility electrical systems plus maintenance leadership experience.
- Familiar with OSHA, ISO/TS 16949, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management capabilities.
- Proactive leader able to guide teams and deliver results within deadlines.
