This position provides full-time safety oversight for an electrical contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Bowling Green, OH. The Safety Manager will oversee safety operations during installation of electrical systems, including conduit, cable trays, switch gear, and associated power distribution infrastructure within a mission critical environment. The role requires ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, electrical safety standards, and client-specific safety requirements.
The Safety Manager will work closely with electrical crews, project leadership, and subcontractors to proactively identify hazards, enforce safe work practices, and support safe execution of electrical construction activities throughout all phases of the project.
Qualifications- β CHST certification required
- β Minimum 5 Years Of Construction Safety Experience
- β Electrical construction safety experience preferred
- β Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Experience Preferred, Not Required
- β Data center construction experience preferred
- β Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
- β Well-rounded construction safety background across multiple trades
- β Ability to work extended hours as project demands increase
- β Comfortable working in active electrical construction environments
- β Strong documentation, reporting, and hazard mitigation capabilities
- β Ability to work independently and collaborate with project leadership
- Oversee daily safety operations for electrical construction activities
- Enforce OSHA standards, site safety programs, and client safety protocols
- Monitor Lockout/Tagout procedures and electrical safety compliance
- Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Lead site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety observations
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
- Coordinate with project management, electrical supervisors, and subcontractors to mitigate hazards and ensure safe work execution
- Strong working knowledge of construction and electrical safety standards
- Experience supporting electrical contractors and power distribution installation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and field presence
- Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced construction environments
Expertise in OSHA 1926 construction standards, electrical safety practices, and Lockout/Tagout procedures, with specific focus on electrical infrastructure installation and mission critical data center construction environments.
