Quality Specialist

Job Summary

The Quality Specialist will provide technical support for operations, review/update/organize quality documents, prepare/interact/follow-up Quality Audits & Internal Quality Audits, support plant projects. Manage and maintain the Gauge Calibration Program. Creating and managing Supplier claim process.

• Ensure that safety, quality, and on-time delivery are the prime focus
• Responsible for Supplier Claims (chargebacks, samples, Corrective Actions)
• Responsible for helping Quality department with data entry for Product certification, traveler quality and traveler storage, including Off site storage preparations and logging of files stored.
• Create Manual Material Certifications
• Create purchase Requisition s for the quality department.
• Help with Red Bin routine and material disposition. Release Coils from Holds.
• Manage Gage tracking process, oversee gage assignment to proper teams, set alerts for expiring measuring devices. (MSA)
• Assist with the development and management of IATF
  16949 documentation
• Assist Quality Manager and Auditors in conducting internal audits (Internal Auditor)
• Participate in RCCA/8D analysis for customer and internal quality issues
• Participate in PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and Control Plan reviews together with cross functional teams

• High School Diploma required, Associate’s degree in related field is highly preferred.
• 3-5 Year’s of experience in manufacturing setting is required
• Demonstration of analytical, organizational, and communication skills is required
• Basic knowledge of Quality Systems and Auditing (Automotive Industry Standards) is required
• Advanced computer skills are required
• Knowledge of problem solving tools are preferred
