Job Summary

. The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, utilizing therapeutic communication and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. The role involves identifying nursing problems, developing individualized care plans, and coordinating interdisciplinary care while participating in performance improvement activities that support the hospital’s mission and vision.

• Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, care plans, and implementation of treatment for all assigned patients.
• Conduct initial triage evaluation and assign acuity levels to patients.
• Administer treatments, medications, and procedures within scope of practice.
• Coordinate care with management staff, team leaders, physicians, department staff, and ancillary services.
• Delegate duties to technical support staff while maintaining accountability for delegation.

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current KY RN license or Compact State license in state of residence.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
