Job Summary and Qualifications

The Med/Surg Ortho Nurse Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department.

The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

What you will do in this role:

* Help create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensures adherence to standards of care.

* Work cohesively to develop standards and procedures for providing and improving quality patient care.

* Make recommendations and changes to policies using evidence-based research.

* Promote strong working relations with other departments in the facility.

* Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

* Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice.

* Participate in performance improvement activities toassurecontinuous quality improvement.

Followspatient safety standards.

* Promote good public relations for the department and Tri Star Greenview Regional Hospital whilemaintainingpatient/customer confidentiality and satisfaction.

What qualifications you will need:

* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kentucky or compact staterequired

* Associates Degree in Nursing required;

Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
