We are seeking a dynamic candidate to join our Bowling Green, Kentucky location as a Roll Mill Operator
.
The ideal candidate would have experience in working in an ever-changing, fast-moving, and evolving environment. Candidates who have worked within a manufacturing/distribution environment are highly preferred.
This position supports the roll mill team as part of the overall department teamwork initiative. This position will report to the Production Supervisor (or designate).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist the roll mill team to achieve the goals and objectives for quality and productivity while providing ideas for continuous improvement and resolving problems.
- Thoroughly understands the designated tasks in the tube-making process while following control plan and mill operation instructions.
- Monitor performance of the roll mill testing unit
- Visually inspecting and when necessary, dimensionally verifying in-process product during the production run as per control plan.
- Performing general maintenance (i.e., Oiling, greasing, cleaning) on the equipment in designated sections of the mill.
- Tracks and logs work time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- General mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to operate overhead crane.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team orientated environment.
- Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
