Job DetailsThe Maintenance Tech
-1 position supports the Facilities Department by working alongside experienced maintenance technicians to perform basic maintenance tasks and assist with facility asset management. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals seeking hands‑on experience in healthcare facility operations, maintenance processes, and equipment inventory systems.
- Assist maintenance technicians with routine and preventive maintenance tasks
- Perform light maintenance duties, including basic repairs, adjustments, and inspections
- Support inventorying and tracking of facility equipment, systems, and room locations
- Help document asset information and update maintenance records as needed
- Respond to maintenance service requests under supervision
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
- Follow all safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by Facilities leadership
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Interest in facilities maintenance, building systems, or skilled trades
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a healthcare environment
- Familiarity with basic tools and equipment
- Coursework or training in building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing
