Overview

The Financial Administrator is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial processes and administrative tasks that support the organization’s operations. This role ensures the accurate handling of accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, financial reporting, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The Financial Administrator serves as a key link between the administrative office, project managers, and external financial partners.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements, invoices, and expense reports.
  • Administer payroll functions, including timekeeping, deductions, and compliance with wage laws.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems for audits and reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and vendors as needed.
  • Monitor and enforce internal financial controls and company policies.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for management review.
  • Support project teams with job cost tracking and expense management (specific to industries like construction).
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in financial administration, bookkeeping, or accounting support.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
