Summary of Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis. This position will focus on cost accounting, budgeting, and performance analysis within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support management in decision-making by analyzing purchasing activity outcomes.
  • Collect, study, and evaluate data to determine the costs of business activities, including raw materials, inventory, and labor.
  • Compare actual costs to estimates; analyze variances and record results.
  • Prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual production results.
  • Assess the impact of changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods on overall costs.
  • Maintain and enhance the Cost Accounting System.
  • Record and analyze cost information to aid in controlling expenditures.
  • Conduct audits of cost processes and prepare related reports.

    Develop estimates for new and proposed product costs.
  • Provide management with reports that highlight factors affecting pricing and profitability.
  • Support month-end close activities, including inventory reconciliations and general ledger entries.
  • Conduct physical inventories and oversee the cycle count program.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of hourly payroll transactions.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial information to support business needs.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all financial and payroll processes meet accuracy and timing standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
    .
  • Strong background in cost accounting systems with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).Proven ability to prepare detailed and accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Experience in developing and analyzing cost standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Finance or Accounting experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
