Position Type: Seasonal (April‑Sept. 2026)
Position Overview: The Chesapeake Baysox are seeking enthusiastic and customer‑focused individuals to serve as Team Store Gameday Staff for the 2026 season. This position is responsible for assisting with the daily retail operations of the Baysox Team Store during home games and special events. Gameday Staff plays a vital role in creating a positive and memorable shopping experience for fans while maintaining store standards and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to fans and guests
  • Accurately operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system and handle transactions
  • Restock merchandise and maintain organized, visually appealing displays
  • Assist with merchandise setup prior to gates opening and post‑game breakdown
  • Promote featured items, new arrivals, and special event merchandise
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and storage areas
  • Support inventory control efforts including counts and merchandise organization
  • Assist with in‑game promotions and special events as needed
  • Uphold ballpark standards and represent the Chesapeake Baysox in a professional manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Merchandise Manager
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and team‑oriented
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 5–15 pounds as needed
  • Basic cash‑handling or retail experience preferred, but not required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
Schedule & Availability
  • Must be available to work scheduled game days including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Hours vary based on home game schedule and special events

This position operates primarily during home games and special events at the ballpark. The role requires extended periods of standing and working in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment.

Additional Information

Attain Partners, the owner of the Chesapeake Baysox, is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The individual hourly rate for this position is $15.
