Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) - T2007. Starting hourly rate is $17.50 USD per hour. Pay range: $17.50 - $26.25 per hour. This role is part-time and includes duties across guest service, checkout operations, and store assistance as part of Target’s values and culture.

• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience.
• Greet guests, assist with daily tasks, and respond to guest needs in a helpful, welcoming manner.
• Explain and promote current promos, store activities, and events; be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
• Inform guests about Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, following safety standards and best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Explain how to use Target App features (Wallet) and assist with enrollment for Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
• Process returns following guidelines and collaborate with leadership to resolve guest needs, while adhering to Target policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours.
• Operate safely and comply with safety policies; report hazards and take corrective action where possible.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, and returns while complying with applicable laws (e.g., alcohol-related policies when required).
• Perform other duties as assigned by business needs.

• Accurate checkout operations and support for cash offices as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; lifting up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance.
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift; work in varying temperatures as required by duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
