The pay range for this role will be £28,142 – £31,537 p.a. (pro rata for part‑time colleagues). We’re looking forward to welcoming new colleagues under this refreshed framework of pay, terms, and conditions. All new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band to promote fairness and consistency. Recruitment & Retention Supplement: £1,200 (pro rata for part‑time colleagues). Supplements are temporary and awarded at the discretion of BCP Council.
About the role:
We operate a Refuse, Recycling and Food Waste service within the local area. The position is full‑time (37 hours a week) with possible weekend work, early starts, and late finishes.
- Drive LGV/HGV vehicles, including a range of cargo types.
- Communicate professionally with members of the public and commercial customers.
- Complete all bank holidays and required catch‑up Saturdays at enhanced rates of pay (except specified holidays).
- Work flexible hours, including early starts and late finishes, to meet service demands.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain vehicle condition.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to be a team player.
- Flexible, hardworking, and able to follow instructions efficiently.
- Valid LGV driving licence.
