Position: Service Improvement Officer - 12 month Fixed term contract

Overview

The pay range for this role will be £33,699 - £39,152 (pro rata for part time colleagues). We’re looking forward to welcoming new colleagues under this refreshed framework of pay, terms, and conditions. To promote fairness and consistency, all new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band. This reflects our commitment to equity across the organisation and aligns with the approach taken with existing staff during the transition.

Service Improvement Officer

12 month FTC

Are you passionate about making a real difference in housing services and improving outcomes for people who are homeless? We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Service Improvement Officer to join our Strategic Housing & Partnerships Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the quality and efficiency of supported housing services across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. You’ll help ensure that every person receiving commissioned support gets the best possible service, while driving improvements that reduce reliance on costly temporary and emergency accommodation.

What You’ll Do
  • Improve the performance of commissioned supported housing services.
  • Work closely with providers to foster innovation and person-centred delivery.
  • Highlight national good practice in the homeless sector and support providers in all aspects of learning and training.
  • Identify opportunities to increase service throughput and enhance customer outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven administrative experience and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, using initiative to manage a varied workload.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Professional, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering positive change.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with a spectrum of stakeholders.
