The pay range for this role will be £31,537– £36,363 (pro rata for part time colleagues). We’re looking forward to welcoming new colleagues under this refreshed framework of pay, terms, and conditions. All new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band to promote fairness and consistency across the organisation. While the starting salary is fixed, the role offers excellent scope for growth and meaningful contribution.
Aboutthe role
We are seeking a supportive, team‑driven professional who can provide an excellent support service to BCP residents to sustain their tenancies, empower disadvantaged and vulnerable adults within the local community, and develop maximum levels of independence.
Our Ideal Candidate- Experience of providing support to social housing tenants
- Experience of partnership working with strong communication skills – able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels
- Ability to empathise with tenants
- Good negotiation and motivational skills
- Ability to use initiative, prioritise work and time‑manage, and work to tight deadlines without close supervision
- Good IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of statutory and voluntary sector support services for vulnerable individuals
- Basic knowledge of public and private sector housing
- Basic knowledge of welfare and benefit rights
- Flexible and cooperative working style
- Commitment to excellent and responsive customer service and service delivery
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Ability to visit clients in the locality in their own homes, which may involve climbing stairs
- Signpost to other specialist services and work jointly with internal and external services
- Improve health & wellbeing, living safely & securely, and advocacy for tenants
- Assist tenants in understanding tenancy agreements and maintaining independence and control over their lives
- Provide money‑management support
- Engage positively with and support victims and perpetrators of antisocial behaviour and tenancy breaches (e.g., property condition)
- Access local opportunities in learning, employment, leisure, and cultural needs
- Perform early intervention to prevent crisis and deterioration, including nutrition and general wellbeing improvement
- Help tenants make safe, informed, and independent choices regarding purchasing services, equipment, and adaptations
