This post is suitable for a ST3+ level interested in gaining experience in medical education and research. One day a week will be dedicated for education and research opportunities, there will be a fixed once a week caesarean section list, the remainder of the week will be general rota where there are opportunities for advanced training.

Person Specification Qualifications- MB BS
- Post Graduate medical exam
- ST3-5 or above
- Post graduate certificate in medical education
- MRCOG part 1
- Understands principles of audit
- Evidence of audit projects
- Evidence of involvement in national audits
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Experience of medical writing
- Broad spectrum of Obstetric and Gynaecology experience within NHS
- Previous involvement in undergraduate teaching and members of other healthcare professionals
- Research experience and publications
- Training the trainer course
- Experience of small and large group teaching
- Strong interest in education and research
- Compliant with RCOG CPD and eportfolio
- Good clinical practice
- ability to manage own time and continuing professional development
- Ability to undertake procedures in an independent environment.
- Understand the principles of research methodology
- Demonstrate various teaching stratergies
- Publication in medical journals
