An opportunity has arisen within the South Coast Nursing Homes group for a Domestic Assistant at our luxurious nursing home The Poets in Worthing.

Hours - 21 per week

• WK 1 - Mon, Wed, Fri
• WK 2 - Fri, Sat, Sun

The purpose of this role is to keep the home clean and safe, providing a superior service to our residents.

• To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home at all times.
• To clean residents' rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed their patient care. To check flowers and plants and water/dispose of as necessary.
• To clean communal areas including mopping, vacuuming, dusting.
• Ensuring the home is safe e.g., removing clutter, keeping storage areas tidy.
• Shampoo carpets as and when needed.
• To present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed.
• To take particular care with residents’ personal laundry, to prevent accidental damage and present in well ironed state.
• To check residents’ personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons and refer to matron for discussion if a repair is necessary.
