Overview
Are you an experienced clinician with strong leadership skills and an ambition to lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high‑quality, compassionate care? We are seeking a Clinical Manager for the brand‑new 8‑bed inpatient CAMHS High Intensity Environment / PICU unit at Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth. We welcome nurses from all backgrounds who wish to build on their experience in mental health and learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and management for a 24‑hour service, ensuring safe, effective care and continuous improvement of the service user experience.
- Champion clinical standards and support staff across the multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive and empathetic approach to service users and carers.
- Lead day‑to‑day operations, including staffing, training, induction and ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with senior management to plan, design and improve services in line with Trust, local and government objectives.
- Represent the unit at reviews and committees, contributing to organisational goals and policy development.
- Strong clinical experience in children and young people, with knowledge of attachment, trauma and complex mental health needs.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience, ideally in a multidisciplinary inpatient setting.
- Full or part‑time availability (full‑time 37.5 hours per week; part‑time options from 12 hours available for discussion).
- Enhanced DBS check (covered by the Trust); DBS update service acceptable if a valid certificate is presented.
- Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible.
- In‑depth, ongoing induction and training programmes.
