Acute Respiratory Physiotherapist

Role Summary

You will work alongside Junior and Senior Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants to deliver specialist therapy services within patient pathways, with support from Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Clinical Leads.

• Deliver ward‑based and respiratory care to a diverse patient population.
• Work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Support the training and development of junior staff, physiotherapy students and those on the on‑call rota.
• Participate in on‑calls, twilight shifts and weekend rota; job share or part‑time arrangements may be considered.
• Work a permanent rotational physiotherapy post (Band
  6) covering Front Door (Acute Medical Unit), Surgery, Medicine, Cardiology, Haematology, Respiratory and Intensive Care.
• Follow the usual rota pattern of 8 am‑4 pm, including weekends, twilight (11 am‑7 pm) and on‑call shifts as rostered.

• Full‑time, 34.5 hrs per week.
• Base location:
  Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
• Staff may be required to work flexibly across all Trust locations to meet service demands.
• Interview date: 3 February.
