Position: Clinical Team Leader - CAMHS High Intensity Unit

Clinical Team Leader – CAMHS High Intensity Unit

Join Antistatique as a Clinical Team Leader for a new 8‑bed High Intensity Environment/PICU opening in 2026 at Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth. The role will involve providing innovative, high‑quality care to young people aged 13‑18 who are suffering from acute mental illness.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assessments and treatment to enable shorter hospital stays.
  • Lead a supportive team in delivering individual care in accordance with the integrated care programme approach.
  • Assist in organising activities and ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people.
  • Establish and develop effective liaison and communication with all disciplines, agencies, parents, carers and service users.
  • Make judgements about appropriate models of treatment, analysing, comparing and interpreting a range of options, especially in highly complex situations.
  • Attend and participate in ward rounds, clinical case meetings and CPA reviews to support recovery of children, young people and their families/carers.
  • Teach staff of all levels and actively promote the development of the service.
  • Supervise and manage band 5 Tier 4 CAMHS nurses/staff nurses and mental health support workers.
  • Complete a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course; successful completion is a pre‑condition of employment.

Contract
:
Full‑time post of 37.5 hours per week for a 24‑hour service; flexible part‑time options of 22.5 hours are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Mental Health/​Learning Disabilities Nurse or experience as a Clinical Team Leader in a CAMHS setting.

Training and supervision

  • In‑depth ongoing inductions.
  • Personal training programmes.
  • Clinical and managerial supervision.
