Job Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end Futures & Options delivery processes across EMEA, including contract expiry processing, options exercise and assignment (automatic and manual), and physical delivery of futures and options.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of EMEA exchange rules, delivery timelines and product specifications.
- Assess and implement changes arising from exchange rule updates, CCP notices and regulatory developments impacting EMEA deliveries.
- Own operational risk for the EMEA Deliveries function, ensuring appropriate controls around expiry, exercise, assignment and physical settlement.
- Manage effective issue escalation, root‑cause analysis and maintain clear documentation and audit trails.
- Lead the team through time‑critical and high‑risk EMEA market events, including monthly and quarterly expiries, physical settlement windows and market events impacting deliverable instruments.
- Act as a business stakeholder for EMEA Deliveries systems and related change initiatives.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for all queries related to the Deliveries function and support Client Service and Operations partners, as well as CCPs, Exchanges, market utilities, custodians and settlement agents.
- Lead and develop the EMEA Deliveries team, ensuring appropriate coverage and skill depth.
- Set clear expectations, support performance management and promote continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of ownership, precision and controlled execution.
- Experience in F&O post‑trade operations, clearing or deliveries, with strong exposure to EMEA markets.
- Demonstrated experience with options exercise and assignment, physical delivery of futures and options and exchange/CCP delivery processes.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and operational risk standards.
- Proven people management experience within a regulated financial services environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading a Deliveries or Clearing function.
- Exposure to automation or process improvement initiatives in post‑trade.
- Prior involvement in regulatory reviews, audits or control reviews.
