EICA Commissioning Engineer – Water Industry
Clean Water Project | 12 Month Contract | Outside IR35
Bournemouth / Dorset Region
A leading engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects within the UK water sector is seeking an experienced EICA Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning activities on a large clean water treatment project in the Bournemouth region.
This is a long-term 12-month contract opportunity outside IR35, working on a significant clean water programme involving complex MEICA systems, electrical commissioning, instrumentation, controls and telemetry integration.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the installation, testing, commissioning and handover of plant systems is delivered safely and in line with client standards.

The Role
Working closely with the Commissioning Manager, contractors and project delivery teams, you will support the commissioning of electrical and control systems across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

* Reviewing and approving RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)

* Reviewing and monitoring MEICA-related project risks

* Reviewing key design documentation including:
   Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
   - Instrument and equipment schedules
   - P&IDs
   - Control philosophy
   
-Telemetry requirements

* Reviewing commissioning plans and commissioning programmes

* Supporting the development and review of commissioning strategies

* Witnessing and signing off Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)

* Attending project progress and commissioning meetings

* Reviewing commissioning documentation and deliverables

* Liaising with contractors and project teams on commissioning interfaces

* Ensuring training delivery meets project requirements

* Reviewing O&M manuals and handover documentation

* Supporting the final handover of plant systems
Ideal Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate would have EICA commissioning experience within the UK water industry or similar process environments.
Key requirements include:

* Proven experience as an EICA Commissioning Engineer / Electrical Commissioning Engineer

* Strong background in MEICA systems commissioning

* Experience working on water or wastewater treatment projects

* Experience reviewing electrical RAMS and commissioning documentation

* Practical knowledge of water treatment processes

* Experience witnessing FAT and SAT testing

* Ability to review design documentation including FDS, P&IDs and control philosophy

* Experience working to client commissioning standards

* Strong stakeholder communication skills

* Full UK driving licence

Experience with in clean water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, telemetry systems or process plants would be highly beneficial.
