Job OverviewThe Estates Department provides a comprehensive maintenance, repair and installation service of the buildings, grounds, engineering services and associated equipment throughout the Trust.
You must have served a recognised Electrical apprenticeship and gained a wide experience in building engineering services and plant maintenance with a BTEC HNC level or City and Guilds plus relevant post apprenticeship training or equivalent experience.
You must hold a current UK driving licence and reside within half an hour normal travel time to fulfil on-call duties.
The role is Monday Friday with participation in an emergency on-call rota plus opportunities for overtime and weekend working.
Salary - £29,970 - £36,483 pa plus local RRP (£3,277 pa), with an approximate £1,000 pa on-call retainer, overtime, 27 days holiday & voluntary pension scheme.

Person specification Knowledge, Training & Experience- HNC in Building services plus specialist training and experience to graduate level, or equivalent gained through a relevant apprenticeship plus additional specialist knowledge and experience gained through specialist training, short courses and C.P.D..
- Authorised/Responsible and/or Competent Person in one or more of the following specialisms: LV Electrical Systems, HV Electrical Systems, Heating and Ventilation Systems, Decontamination, Safe Water Systems, Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS), Confined Spaces.
- Extensive knowledge of the electrical and/or mechanical and/or plumbing systems in NHS premises.
- In depth knowledge of all relevant legislation and technical guidance.
- In depth knowledge of all relevant Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs).
- Significant experience working in a complex engineering/building environment.
- Skilled in maintenance, fault finding, test & repair work on a very wide range of complex engineering services & equipment, with the ability to work unassisted in varying, often technical environments whilst complying with Health & Safety/ environmental regulations and standards.
The Role
- Participate in outside of normal hours on-call rota.
- Full U.K driving licence.
- Be able to speak English as necessary to undertake the role.
