Working Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours per week

Gama Aviation are looking for apprentices like you! Gama Aviation are pleased to invite Engineering Apprentices to apply for our 2026 Engineering Apprenticeship Programme. You will be working alongside our dynamic team of Engineers and Mechanics at our modern Bournemouth base facility. This apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with a prestigious training organization, ensuring top-quality education and industry recognised qualifications.
We are offering an initial three‑year apprenticeship within Aircraft Maintenance, developing (under supervision) your understanding of Avionic/Mechanical maintenance and rectification knowledge, skills and safe systems of work, whilst also recording, collating evidence of maintenance and rectification activities suitable for internal engineering write ups.
Your first 12 Months will be spent developing your hand skills and knowledge of the Aviation and Aircraft Maintenance industry through a combination of classroom, practical and on the job training, including a Level 2 Hand Skills qualification. You will then progress to working towards the qualification Level 3 Aircraft Maintenance Category A, providing you the tools, skills and foundation experience you need to become a successful Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic.
Successful Apprentices would then be given the opportunity to progress to the Level 3 Aircraft Maintenance Category B1/B2 , which would be a further 2 years of training.

Whatyou will be doing

Essential
- GCSE (or equivalent) grade 5 or above in Maths, English and Science
- Self‑motivated, career‑focused and team player
- Keen interest in aviation & engineering
Advantageous
- GCSE in Physics, GCSE in Design Technology
- Ability to commute and travel to work independently due to different location
