Are you a confident graduate ready to take the next step and lead a classroom from day one?

Step Into Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Bournemouth seeking a strong, capable graduate who is ready to step into a classroom leadership role immediately. This position is ideal for someone serious about becoming a full‑time teacher and looking for hands‑on experience with real responsibility.

About the Role
  • Leading a class across core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
  • Delivering pre‑planned lessons and adapting where necessary
  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Providing targeted small group (1:1) intervention support

Graduate Scheme Benefits
  • Ongoing mentoring and professional support
  • Clear pathway into teacher training
  • Opportunity for a full‑time teaching role at the end of the placement
  • Valuable leadership experience from day one

While previous school experience is advantageous, it is not essential. The school is looking for the right attitude, strong communication skills and the confidence to take ownership of a class.

We’re Looking For:
  • A graduate (any subject considered)
  • Someone confident leading groups of children
  • Strong behaviour management potential
  • Empathy and emotional resilience
  • A clear ambition to become a qualified teacher
  • Professionalism and commitment
