Graduate Students/ Teaching Assistant roles. Part time or Full time roles to either fit around studies or gain some full time experience – Mainstream and SEND Schools – No Minimum Commitment. We are currently seeking enthusiastic, committed, and proactive Graduate Teaching Assistants and Student Assistants to work across a range of educational settings, including mainstream primary and secondary schools as well as special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) schools. Whether you’re exploring a future career in teaching, psychology, or child development, this flexible role will allow you to build hands‑on experience, support pupils’ learning, and make a genuine impact – all while fitting around your university timetable.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant or Student Assistant, you will be working closely with teaching staff to support pupils with varying educational needs. This may include assisting children with special educational needs, delivering targeted academic support in subjects such as English or Maths, or supporting pupils with emotional or behavioural needs. Your work may take place within the classroom or in small‑group/1:1 interventions.
- Supporting learning activities under teacher guidance
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour
- Encouraging pupil engagement and participation
- Supporting students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs
- Creating a positive, inclusive environment for all learners
- Currently studying at university (all years welcome)
- Hours are between 08:30‑15:30
- Some experience working with children or young people, either in a voluntary or professional capacity
- A passion for education and helping others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and patient approach
