• Attainment of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) certificate level or NVQ 2/3 qualifications
• Equivalent training and/or professional or transferable experience

• Evidence of additional procurement development or key skills training

• Proven experience of working in an administration, supply chain or inventory control support capacity

• Experience of working in an operational purchasing and supplies function.
• Experience of working within the NHS

• Good keyboard skills
• Intermediate ability of computer applications including MS Word, Excel, and MS outlook
• Accuracy and attention to detail especially with regard to data input
• Good time management and organisational skills

• Intermediate abilities with MS Access & MS PowerPoint.
• Good presentation skills
• SQL skills

• Knowledge of procurement function and its responsibilities within a business

• Understanding of contract law & public procurement processes

• Team player with excellent communication skills and telephone manner
• Able to multi-task and work as part of busy team
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

• Excellent customer care attitude and skills
• Self-motivated and assertive
• Positive attitude to continuous improvement ideology
