Gungho is a well-established and rapidly growing business-to-business marketing agency headquartered in Poundbury, Dorchester, UK, with offices in both Poundbury and Bournemouth. We work with exciting and dynamic international technology companies who engage our services to drive their sales acceleration and growth programmes in Europe, Asia‑Pacific & the Americas. We offer extensive and ongoing internal training, along with specialist external coaching.
We operate on a 10‑hour day (including 1 hour for lunch), 4 days per week. This means we have every Friday off to create a great work/life balance. Lots of opportunity for career progression is available for the right candidates. Many of the management team started in the Business Discovery Agent role and we are committed to continue hiring much of our management internally.
RoleWe’re a fast‑growing lead generation company with a vibrant culture, a supportive team, and a genuine focus on development. We’re looking for a Business Development Specialist to join our In‑house Sales Team. This is a proactive outreach role that involves calling, messaging and emailing decision‑makers in businesses that match our client profiles to generate high‑quality sales appointments.
What you will be doing- Contacting potential prospects by phone, email and Linked In
- Booking qualified meetings with key decision‑makers
- Researching target accounts and contacts to tailor your outreach
- Logging activity in Salesforce with accuracy
- Working closely with our Business Development Managers to refine targeting and lead quality
- Experience in a lead generation, research or business development role is essential
- Strong research skills with a sharp eye for detail
- Comfortable using CRMs, Linked In, company databases and online research tools
- Curious and commercially aware, with an interest in understanding what makes businesses tick
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage your time effectively
- You’re building a strong pipeline of sales‑ready leads
- Your research and data are structured, clear and actionable
- You understand your industries inside out and anticipate where opportunity lies
- You’re working closely with your team and contributing to shared success
