Overview

Riverside Medical Center seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The RN provides high‑quality nursing care to residents, manages patient care plans, and coordinates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal outcomes. This on‑campus position requires flexibility with assignments within professional scope, duties, and licensure.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all care activities accurately.
• Monitor resident health conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments.
• Provide wound care, IV therapy, and other specialized interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care, ensuring compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to development of policies and procedures.
• Provide education and support to residents and families regarding health management, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement emergency protocols.
• Assist with scheduling and manage nursing staff coverage to ensure adequate coverage.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, compassionate interaction with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing assisted living facilities.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Professional nursing certification in area of specialty preferred.

Base compensation within the pay range based on qualifications, with opportunities for annual increases and shift differentials.
