Incumbents of the Electrician position average $138,000/year. Production positions are paid a base hourly rate along with a production bonus calculated based on the amount of quality tons produced and paid weekly.

Responsibilities- Take care of our customers by executing the division’s safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability objectives
- Develop and promote safe work practices for maintaining plant equipment
- Apply technical knowledge to solve problems with plant equipment
- Troubleshoot and upgrade electrical control systems and associates equipment (PLC) and electrical power distribution and protection equipment
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a diploma, a degree, or certification program in the electrical field, or two years of electrical maintenance experience including PLC’s, VFD’s, and controls
- Previous industrial electrical maintenance experience
- 2 or 4 year degree in Electrical Technology/Engineering
