Plumber, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
We are seeking a Plumbing & Water Systems Specialist to join our field team. You will plan, install, troubleshoot, and maintain the plumbing and fluid systems at the heart of our water features. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on plumbing experience who wants to apply those skills in a creative, dynamic environment. A plumbing license or certification is a bonus but is not required — what matters most is solid working knowledge of plumbing systems.
The ideal candidate is:
- A skilled, self-sufficient plumber who takes pride in clean, professional work
- Comfortable reading plans and adapting in the field when conditions change
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage their time independently on job sites
- Customer-oriented and respectful when working in residential or commercial spaces
- Eager to expand into water feature systems, controls, and related technologies
- A collaborative team member who communicates well and shares knowledge
- Install, modify, and repair pressurized and gravity-fed water systems including supply lines, return lines, and drain assemblies
- Work with a wide variety of fittings, pipe materials (PVC, CPVC, copper, flex), and connection types
- Size, select, install, and service pumps, filters, valves (ball, gate, solenoid, check), and flow-control components
- Diagnose and resolve leaks, pressure losses, flow imbalances, and other plumbing-related issues on water features
- Read and interpret plumbing schematics and basic engineering drawings
- Assist with basic electrical connections related to pump controls and automation systems
- Support fountain event setups and teardowns, including temporary water supply and drainage connections
- Log service records, billable hours, and parts usage using mobile apps
REQUIRED:
- Minimum one year of hands-on plumbing, pipe fitting, or water systems work
- Working knowledge of plumbing materials, fittings, and joinery techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot pressure, flow, and leak problems systematically
- Comfortable with manual labor including lifting 50+ lbs and working in wet environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Own basic plumbing and hand tools
- Able to use smartphone apps for scheduling and field reporting
PREFERRED:
- Journeyman or apprentice plumbing license, or progress toward licensure
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification — or willingness to earn it (company-supported)
- Experience with chemical dosing systems, UV sanitizers, or automated chemical controllers
- Familiarity with hydraulic principles and pump performance curves
- Pool, spa, irrigation, or fountain industry experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
