Proficient Auto Logistics (PAL) is a leading specialized freight company focused on providing auto transportation and logistics services. Formed via IPO in May 2024, PAL combined five industry-leading operating companies and has since acquired two additional operating companies. As a combined entity, we operate one of the largest auto transportation fleets in North America with over 1200 trucks, 55 terminal locations and 800 employees, a majority of whom are drivers.

We offer a broad range of auto transportation and logistics services, primarily focused on transporting finished vehicles from automotive production facilities, marine ports of entry, or regional rail yards to auto dealerships around the country. We have developed a differentiated business model due to our scale, breadth of geographic coverage, and embedded customer relationships with leading auto original equipment manufacturing companies (OEMs).

The Parts Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the parts department which services the Northeast Fleet Shop. This role will oversee the procurement, inventory management and distribution of parts, ensuring seamless operations that support the repair team.

• Manage the entire parts inventory including ordering, stocking and tracking to meet operational demands.
• Forecast and maintain optimal inventory levels while balancing demand with cost efficiency.
• Oversee the purchase process, including negotiating prices and terms with suppliers while ensuring timely procurement and delivery of parts and accessories.
• Manage parts ordering, receiving, stocking procedures, cycle counting and recordkeeping.
• Implement and maintain inventory and cost control systems.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Work collaboratively with repair team to ensure timely parts availability and delivery for repairs.
• Other duties as needed or as assigned.

• HS Diploma and at least five years of experience in a parts department in the automotive or trucking industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate employees.
• The ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to oversee multiple tasks and deadlines.
• The ability to negotiate prices and terms with suppliers for profitability.
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment, with long periods of standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 75lbs.

• Familiar with inventory management software and understanding of industry-specific parts and components.
• Proven experience with managing heavy duty truck parts.
• Knowledgeable on OSHA safety regulation.
