Assistant Director of Nursing
Location:
Bound Brook, NJ
Salary Range $90,000 to $130,000 per year
Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in the management of the nursing department to maintain quality standards of care, including consultation to medical staff, department heads, and the Quarter of Nursing Service.
- Provide input into interpretation of nursing philosophy and assist in establishing departmental goals and objectives.
- Assist the Director of Nursing with regulatory compliance and ensure effective communication strategies with all levels of nursing staff to promote effective care delivery.
- Along with the Director of Nursing, promote positive employee relations, a strong customer‑service ethic, and commitment to ongoing staff education and training; may exercise direction over the department in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
- Ensure integrity of educational programs offered within the facility.
- Staff development and mentoring of current employees toward personal and career advancement toward leadership positions within the corporation.
- At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience.
- A minimum of one year of long‑term or acute health‑care experience preferred.
- Travel as required for regional or corporate meetings and marketing duties.
- Currently licensed as an RN in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
