Job Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer to join their team in Boulder, Colorado. In this role, you will work collaboratively with research scientists, FPGA engineers, and fellow software engineers to develop, test, and deliver prototype and fully capable systems. This position involves design, development, maintenance, and testing primarily using C++ and Python code.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, maintain, and test software componentsCollaborate with other engineers and scientists to ensure seamless integration of systemsContribute to the creation of efficient and maintainable codePerform unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure software qualityStay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software engineeringRequired Skills:Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) from an accredited institutionProficiency in C++ programming languageExperience developing maintainable code and performing unit, integration, and regression testingAbility to obtain a government security clearance (US citizenship required)Desired
Skills:Experience working in a Linux environmentActive Secret clearanceProficiency in Python programming languageExperience with applied mathematics or algorithm developmentKnowledge of data structuresStrong experience in software design and developmentFamiliarity with tracking and/or signal processing algorithmsExperience with containerization tools like DockerExperience with orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Open Shift, or SwarmExperience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, etc.GPU programming experience or knowledgeThis is an opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team at Lockheed Martin Space, contributing to projects that push the boundaries of technology and have a real-world impact.
