AI Software Engineer (Backend Focus)

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled AI Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale intelligent systems that bridge backend engineering and applied AI. You’ll develop production-ready pipelines integrating large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), computer vision, and agentic architectures — shaping how users interact with AI-driven products in real time.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to create intelligent, reliable, and scalable systems that learn, reason, and act.

What You’ll Do

Design & build backend services:
Develop FastAPI or similar systems that power LLM-driven chat, search, and image recognition.
Architect agentic AI systems:
Implement multi-agent frameworks enabling autonomous reasoning, planning, and execution.
Train and deploy models:
Fine-tune and evaluate computer vision and language models; define testing suites to ensure quality and safety.
Develop RAG pipelines:
Create retrieval systems grounded in structured data to improve contextual accuracy.
Ensure reliability:
Build guardrails, validation layers, and observability for AI performance and safety.
Optimize & scale:
Automate workflows with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and continuous telemetry feedback loops.
Collaborate cross-functionally:
Partner with design, mobile, and product teams to deliver AI-driven user experiences end-to-end.

About You

5+ years of experience in backend or AI software engineering.
Proficiency in Python, APIs, and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs, LLM integrations, and agentic frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Graph, CrewAI).

Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, PGVector) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Solid understanding of model evaluation, testing, and performance monitoring.
Skilled in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Bonus:
Familiarity with reinforcement learning or multi-agent coordination systems.
