Jail Maintenance Worker performs skilled technical maintenance and major repair work on the plumbing, electrical systems, and security systems to include detention locks and CCTV equipment within the corrections facility under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month.

High school graduate or equivalent. Four years of maintenance experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's license.
Thorough knowledge of the use of materials, equipment, and procedures necessary for building and grounds maintenance. Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to building and grounds maintenance. Skilled in the operation of tools and equipment required by the position. Preferred experience in the commercial maintenance field, repair of food service and laundry equipment. Must possess solid skills in plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
