We are seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven Business Development Specialist to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by prospecting leads, training distributors, nurturing client relationships, and closing sales. This position plays a key role in expanding our distribution footprint, expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth. This is a full-time salaried hybrid position, located in Boulder.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through inbound and outbound prospecting, phone calls, email, social media, and occasional in‑person meetings.

  • Participate in industry events to increase brand awareness and position eGauge favorably in the marketplace.

  • Conduct Single Line Drawing analysis to understand client needs and design tailored energy monitoring solutions.

  • Collaborate with inside sales and support teams to develop comprehensive proposals that meet client requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in the CRM system, manage pipeline activity, and report on key sales metrics.

  • Present eGauge energy monitoring solutions to executive‑level decision‑makers using consultative selling techniques.

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with new and existing clients.

Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in a business‑to‑business or technology sales role.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Strong prospecting skills with the ability to independently drive new business activity.

  • Previous experience or familiarity with IoT, Data Acquisition Systems, SCADA, BAS, BMS is a plus.

  • Confident presenting solutions and value propositions to executives and business owners.

  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and navigate multiple decision‑makers.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Net Suite), Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and the ability to learn proprietary tools.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
