Position: Summer Residential Camp Staff

The Colorado Mountain Ranch, proudly family‑owned and independent since 1947, provides outdoor adventure programs for youth aged 7‑17 and hosts mountain events for private groups. Located at 8,500 feet above Boulder near Gold Hill, the Ranch offers breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountain Front Range, surrounded by wildflower meadows, pine forests, and aspen groves. With a history‑rich log lodge as its centerpiece, the Ranch is known for its warm hospitality, personalized service, and immersive experiences.

During summer, it serves as Boulder County's only mountain‑based Summer Day Camp, offering activities like horseback riding, hiking, arts & crafts, team‑building, and outdoor skills exploration.

Role Description

The Summer Residential Camp Staff member will be responsible for facilitating and supervising a variety of outdoor activities, ensuring camper safety, guiding outdoor experiences, and fostering a supportive and inspiring camp environment. Daily tasks include managing assigned activities, helping with event coordination, and building positive camper relationships. This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Boulder, CO. Staff members are expected to embrace and contribute to the team‑oriented community at the Ranch.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with campers, parents, and team members.
  • Experience in fostering customer satisfaction and handling a variety of needs within a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive and supportive residential setting.
  • Prior experience with event coordination, youth programs, or outdoor activities is beneficial.
  • Knowledge or experience in outdoor living skills, environmental awareness, or team‑building activities is an advantage.
