Overview

Registered Nurse Clinical Team Lead
- Interventional Radiology / Imaging
– Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

$40.37- $65.61 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40hours per week
+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts

Boulder Community Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Clinical Team Lead for Imaging & Interventional Radiology to serve as a department leader, mentor, and role model while providing quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care. The Clinical Team Lead oversees day-to-day unit operations when assigned the charge role and assumes responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director. This role supports patient safety, a healthy work environment, and the BCH mission;

leads staff through change and problem resolution; manages assigned unit projects; and ensures respectful, relationship-based care that considers age, physical abilities, and special needs across Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Diagnostic Imaging.

Qualifications
  • ICU / IR experience required.
  • Valid Colorado Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS required by end of conditional period.
  • ACLS certification required by end of conditional period.
  • Minimum of 6 months of RN experience requried.
  • BSN preferred
Responsibilities
  • Supervises and coordinates shift operations to include early discharge, timely admissions, staffing, assignments, planning for pending admits. Evidenced by meeting hospital and unit metrics.
  • Staffing and assignments meet unit HPPD (productivity measure) and balance acuity, experience and ability throughout shift.
  • Promotes relationship based care with a focus on patient safety, quality care, and service excellence.
  • Consistent communication, a healthy, calm work environment, and staff feeling supported and heard are key intentions for every shift.
  • As a supervisor, supports management and provides staff with accurate information. Keeps up to date on email communications. Escalates concerns to ARN during shift or to unit manager.
  • Supports patient safety house wide by improving patient flow, positive relationships with other departments, and creating trust.
  • Provide nursing care in conformance with current recognized nursing practice, procedures, policies and established standards of care.
  • Enhance the quality and timeliness of patient care by working cooperatively with other personnel.
  • Review all pre-procedural tests to assure patient safety. Incomplete or unusual findings are reported to the radiologist and documented prior to procedure.
  • Starts IV's and access and discontinue access of Ports.
  • Monitor patient conditions continuously for immediate recognition, interpretation and management.
  • Administer intravenous sedatives for procedural/moderate sedation and titrate medications.
  • Facilitate inter-departmental communication with staff and physicians.
  • Assist Anesthesia during MRI Sedation cases.
  • Monitor and assist pacemaker patients during MRI exams.
