Position Overview
We are looking for a self-starting, motivated person who excels at building relationships, enjoys sales, marketing, and providing excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have skills in marketing, management, budgeting, event planning, sales, fundraising, customer service and are comfortable with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences. A Scouting background is NOT required for the position.
Compensation & Benefits- Compensation package is $63,156
- Base Salary $58,656
- Auto Allowance $3,600 ($300 a month, plus .15c a mile)
- Cell Phone reimbursement of $900 ($75 a month)

The position serves as the manager of a designated area called a district. This district is based in Boulder County and serves Boulder County and south Weld County. Scouting is sustained and successful through your ability to recruit, promote, supervise, and work with local volunteers in achieving growth in our youth participation and surpassing fundraising objectives.
In This Position You Will- Work with a volunteer board of directors and other community and business leaders to identify, recruit, train, guide, and inspire them to become involved.
- Achieve specific goals and objectives which include:
Growing and retaining youth membership;
Starting new Scouting units;
Fundraising;
Program development through collaborative relationships; and Volunteer recruitment. - Be a good role model and recognize the importance of working relationships with other professionals and volunteers.
- Provide quality service through timely communication, regular meetings, training events and activities.
- Must be comfortable with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated individual with solid time management skills and strong organizational skills.
- People-oriented, having the ability to work well with adult volunteers, community and business leaders, and representatives of other organizations.
- Committed to personal and professional productivity and maintaining high ethical working standards.
- Non-profit, fundraising, sales or marketing experience is a plus.
- Must be willing to accept and meet Scouting America's leadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law.
- Candidates must live in or near the counties served by the position.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Have a willingness and ability to work varied hours when necessary. Evening activities and weekend work is often required to achieve positive objectives.
- Ability to travel for a week-long training at least once a year and attend multiple conferences each year.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Work, Outlook, and Excel.
