Our client, a leader in precision optical and laser systems manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Electrics Assembly Technician to join their team. As an Electrics Assembly Technician, you will be an integral part of the assembly department supporting the production of high-quality laser components. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Electrics Assembly Technician
Location: Boulder, CO
Pay Range: $20
Shift: Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm
What's the Job?
- Assemble precision optical components, electronics, and mechanical parts into complex laser system assemblies at both component and sub-system levels.
- Perform optical assembly and alignment techniques, including adhesive dispensing, curing, and shimming to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize bonding techniques with robotic dispensing equipment, maintaining strict adherence to clearance requirements and safety standards.
- Conduct optical metrology measurements such as surface figure, transmitted wavefront error, and dimensional and angular assessments using both manual and computer-operated tools.
- Follow detailed written procedures, complete all relevant documentation, and ensure compliance with established specifications and cleanroom protocols.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly, preferably within an optical or laser systems environment.
- High School Diploma or GED; a 2-year degree or technical school certification is preferred.
- Manual dexterity with fine motor control and excellent hand-eye coordination, especially when handling sensitive optics and finished surfaces.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently.
- Basic computer skills, particularly familiarity with Windows operating systems and record-keeping software.
