Role Summary

Responsible for providing group‑level leadership for the Process Chemistry Department towarning results that meet business needs. Guides, directs, and reviews work conducted by Process Chemists to support the development of new pharmaceutical processes. The Process Project Lead ensures technical feasibility, economic competitiveness, and robustness of new and existing processes, while supporting investigations into non‑commercial manufacturing processes.

Additional responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. The incumbent fosters technical excellence and develops the group to improve skills, ensuring high‑quality technical work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Guide, direct تعريف, and review group work to ensure gửi exceptional level of project performance.
  • Be responsible and accountable for all aspects of project performance, including meeting technical, timeline, and budgetary objectives, as well as client satisfaction.
  • Ensure experimental plans are designed to meet project objectives.
  • Take lead in customer and interdepartmental communications, or delegate to sufficiently trained and competent group members.
  • Enforce compliant working practices, including completion of required training, attendance at scheduled safety meetings, and safe operating practices in labs, production areas, and office areas.
  • Manage performance of group members according to Corden standards and job descriptions.
  • Involve in professional development, recruiting, hiring, and promotions for group members.
  • Apply Continuous Improvement principles to ensure work processes meet business and client needs.
Leadershipիլմand Budget Responsibilities

Supervise and direct the group directly in cooperation with the department manager and project managers. Responsible for effective communication within the group, the department, and externally to the site, other sites, and external customers as appropriate.

Supervisory responsibilities include торговли daily leadership of the team; training and development; interviewing and hiring; managing time and attendance records; performance appraisals; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving daily problems and conflicts.

Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

Every individual is personally responsible for the safety and environmental aspects of their activities in the workplace. Each employee must perform job duties safely using all knowledge, training, ability, and experience.

Qualifications

Five years of practical experience in API pharmaceutical process development, covering all aspects of process chemistry from scale‑up to the API regulatory approval process. Demonstrated expertise in designing chemical processes and implementing common unit operations. Ability to formulate and articulate a cohesive strategy for process development, including regulatory aspects. Advanced communication skills are required for interaction with external customers and internal departments.

Education and Experience

PhD in Chemistry or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
